چکیده

Orally administered small molecules may have important therapeutic potential in treating COVID-19 disease. The recently developed antiviral agents, Molnupiravir and Nirmatrelvir, been reported to be efficient treatments, with only moderate side effects, especially when applied the early phases of this However, drug–drug drug–transporter interactions already noted by drug development companies application notes. In present work, we studied some key human transporters interacting these agents. nucleoside analog (EIDD-2801) its main metabolite (EIDD-1931) were found inhibit CNT1,2 addition ENT1,2 transporters; however, it did not significantly influence relevant OATP or ABCC4 efflux transporter. active component Paxlovid (PF-07321332, Nirmatrelvir) inhibited function several OATPs ABCB1 but affect ABCG2. significant inhibition was observed at high concentrations Nirmatrelvir probably occur vivo. Paxlovid, as used clinic, is a combination (viral protease inhibitor) Ritonavir (a “booster” inhibitor metabolism). known therefore, examined compounds together, ratios. No additional inhibitory effect compared strong transporter caused Ritonavir. Our current vitro results should help estimate newly agents during treatment.

SARS-COV-2 Virus; Immune Responses and The Immunopathogenesis

Abstract Background and Objectives Clinical features of SARS-COV-2 virus include fever, headache, cough, sore throat, and shortness of breath, and in severe forms it leads to disseminated intravascular coagulation, septic shock, and ultimately death. Excessive secretion of proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1 leads to cytokine storms in this disease. The emergence of new va...

Designing an ELISA Method for Measurement of Human IgG and IgM Antibodies against SARS-CoV-2

Background and purpose: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). In this study, an indirect ELISA method was designed to measure the human IgM and IgG antibodies against SARS-CoV-2. Materials and methods: Protein sequence of nucleocapsid antigen from SARS-CoV-2 was expressed in E. coli BL21 and then was...

Seroprevalence of anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibody in healthcare workers: A report from Rafsanjan, Iran

Background: Healthcare workers (HCWs) have a high risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection. Seroprevalence studies can provide related data on HCWs who have a history of infections. According to numerous seroepidemiological reports of COVID-19 in different groups and the lack of seroepidemiological reports of COVID-19 in HCWs in Rafsanjan, the aim of this study was to determine the SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalenc...
